Long time no post. Chad's boss is out of town, so he got the week off. We've been living it up: sleeping in, swimming, going to the park for the free lunches, etc. Chloe started her swim lessons this week. She loves it. Since Chad's around, he's been the one teaching her (it's very parent driven and honestly a bit of a let down in that department, but... the practice his helping her get more comfortable in the water and she really looks forward to it all the time.) She's having a great summer, and we're wearing her out!
We just got back from Ogden to hang out with a fellow intern and his family. It was a lot of fun. They have two girls about Chloe's age and a boy Everett's age. We played in a kiddie pool and on a slip-n-slide, grilled out for dinner, and played video games while Chloe and the girls played who knows what down stairs. It was a lot of fun to hang out with friends our age and station again.
Tomorrow, we plan on going to this indoor amusement park. That should be fun too.
Oh! So, we're going through all of the motions on this house rental and are about to sign the lease. I am so excited. Let me count the ways:
- CENTRAL AIR CONDITIONING!!
- grass!
- no neighbors on any wall or underneath us
- no living on top of other people's leftover filth (hopefully)
- a dishwasher
- CENTRAL AIR CONDITIONING!!
It sounds like a really nice area of town with parks nearby. I will miss having a washer and dryer, but at this point, most things are a step up. And Jodie, thanks for that link on pre-school activities. I've got some great ideas now on things to do with Chloe when we can't go swimming.

I love the picture - I have been in OKC and had to catch up on all the blogs. Glad you are having a little vacation time.
