Icy Fun

Around noon, I decided we'd better try to make the most of the "snow" while we've got it. After all this may be the only one this year, and poor Chloe was so sad yesterday to not be able to go out. So while Chad napped, I took the kids outside. They were so happy to get out of house arrest.
It wasn't long before Chloe was walking like a pro on the ice. She never fussed when she fell either. There wasn't much to do, but it was perfect "snow" for sledding. The ice had melted from the street, so we walked down to the school to find a hill. Along the way, Chloe had to stop at EVERY mailbox and collect icicles.
When we finally got to the school, there were a couple other families there. Chloe just threw herself down with no qualms. We had a blast! It was hard dragging Everett and our "sled" (a sit-n-spin bowl) along behind. But we all had fun. Soon it was lunch and nap time.We napped hard. Afterward, Chad took the kids out. They hammered the ice.
Then we collected slush for a snowman.
Sad little slushy man. House arrest is over, the furnace thawed, and we had fun!

I noticed your snow shovel in the picture. You may be the only people in this city ot own one :). Cherish it. What we would have given for one last weekend to clear our driveway . . .
