Chloe's kind have had a hard time making friends here. She has all boys in her primary class, and mostly boys show up to play group. The first couple of times she came away saying, "no body wanted to be my friend." It broke my heart. I suppose that's a sad reality I'll have to get used to as she's getting older. She asked the neighbor if she could play with her, but was rejected. She's been brave though, gone out of her comfort zone, and persevered. She keeps trying to make friends and is starting to have some success. The last couple of play groups have had few people show up - me and one other mom, me and two others... Without fellow boys to play with, it has allowed her to make some friends. Last week she found a frog with a boy from her primary class. Today he waved at her during sacrament.

My Sweet Girl
With the change of the new year, she also has a new, more consistent primary teacher. She knows her name and comes home excited, talking about her and the things they did in class. I'm so proud of her for sticking with a difficult thing. I'm proud of her for being brave in making friends.
Yesterday, we went to the library as a family. We told Chloe to pick a few books. She picked a dump truck book for Everett. It was a surprise. When we got home, she surprised him with it and he's been so excited about it, carrying it around, reading it again and again. What 4 year old thinks of her brother like that? She's such a sweet little girl! And I love her very much!
