Hockey

Chad's company has an in with the local hockey team. (They seem to have an insane amount of connections in this town!) So we got hooked up with some tickets to the hockey game Tuesday. We had fun! The game of course meant little to nothing to the kids, but they loved getting out and doing something different. They got to have popcorn and soda and stay up late.
You can't tell by her face, but she really liked the cheer leaders and wanted to take her picture with them. The dark-haired one was super sweet to her.
Is this not just the most freaky and ridiculous looking mascot EVER? Can you even tell what he is?
He's a fire ant. Sure, fitting for the south... those mean little buggers are everywhere. But you just can't make it look cool in costume form.
We stayed for 3 quarters. By then, the kids were getting really restless, and I was about done watching. Everett started playing with the chairs and making his "mean face." They even did great recovering from the sleep loss. I mean the next day didn't make me regret taking them. It really was a fun family outing!

A fire ant?? that is sooo weird I would have never guessed it had you not said what it was. How in the world did you get pictures with him and the cheerleaders??
