Random Quirks

I try to notice Everett's little quirks before he grows out of them. Here's one. He always has his feet crossed like this. Oh and he stinks. Like, he rivals any grown man on the frequency and stench of his farts!

Chloe has LOTS of quirks. I think that's what's so fun about kids is that they see the world so differently from adults and do things that to us seem so funny and random. Her latest 2yr old quirk is that she's very opinionated about what she is going to wear, especially her pajamas! But take this shirt for example: This was a Christmas gift that my in-laws got from California. It's SO cool! When you get it out in the sun, it turns colors. But it isn't "pretty" or in other words doesn't have flowers on it, so she prefers to play with the shirt rather than wear it.

Bedtime: oh boy. She's SO quirky when it comes to bedtime! She must have all of her favorite toys and what not around her and placed just so. She spends Lots of time looking out the window!

And then she falls asleep in the strangest places and positions! Somehow she falls asleep on crazy things like her big, hard, plastic turtle. Her favorite spot though is right in front of the door, so we have to nudge her awake just to get into the room to put her in bed and cover her. We recently took down her bed and put her mattress on the floor. That's gone over well, but the other night, she fell asleep with her bum on the floor and her head on the bed. Then last night, here's what I found:

She moved that box over there so she could sit and look out the window, then fell asleep there. She never stops amusing us with her silly quirks. That's part of why we love her!
