Birthdays

Their birthdays aren't for a few days, but since we'll be out of town, we had a little party for them at the park on Saturday. It was great. We cooked out while the kids played. We had a yummy dinner, sang, blew out candles, ate cake, opened presents, played a little more and went home. It really was great to finally be able to celebrate with family.
This picture is a little blurry, but I love her face! She's just raging on that cake. Hers was chocolate and Everett's was cherry cheesecake.
They got a ridiculous amount of presents! It was like Christmas. I guess that's what we get for having the only children in my in-laws' family. At least there weren't any other kids around feeling jealous.
Everett loved this monster truck card with sounds! He wouldn't put it down to open presents, until he realized that he got some "real" trucks to play with.
They got a set of balloons with a pump. When you let them go, they fly and make noise. We had a blast playing with them. Yesterday cousins came to visit and we had even more fun playing with them! A blast for all ages, the best, cheapest gift ever.
The ride home was so pleasant! We'd all had a great time and the kids were so happy. Everett kept pushing buttons on his car and giggling like crazy. Chloe could be heard, the whole way home saying "it's what I've always wanted!" Definitely these two are their favorites so far. Though they've had a blast with everything.
I don't know why Everett's posted first, but below are b-day posts updating each of the kids.
